The Calendar
The Kemetic Calendar presented in this app is a combination of the ancient Egyptian Civil, Lunar, and Solar calendars from antiquity. Dates from the modern day Gregorian calendar are also shown alongside the Kemetic dates to provide a frame of reference.
The first day of the year, Wep Ronpet, is determined by the Sothic Rising of Sirius at the main Kemetic Orthodox temple, currently located in Portland, Oregon, USA.
